Circadian Rhythm Beauty And The Cosmos
Kristy Henry
Over the years I have tried a large amount of herbs, supplements, adaptogens, all for health and beauty. Once, I really started to study the Circadian Rhythm and the key role it plays in defining the health of the body, mind, and spirit, I wanted to bridge the gap between nature, and our relationship with it, how the relationship with nature defines our relationship with the cosmos, how beauty and health are the key rituals to ground us in nature and tie all these loose strands together to create a holistic perception and daily life revolved around spiritual growth with ourselves and this planet Earth.
Starting with the most basic of cosmological influence on this Earth is the acknowledgment of day and night. Day being gifted to us by the glorious Sun the energetic expression of the ego externalized, and night an even greater gift to offer us the reflection of the inner workings of the cosmos through our emotional body the Moon. Nature thrives on these two most basic aspects and so do we. All of Earth’s creatures thrive on this cycle of action and rest and its controlledby this shift from light to darkness. Thus the Circadian Rhythm was my spark of how to create a relationship with nature and help others to change their perception on the role nature and the cosmos play in our every day life.
By supporting the Circadian Rhythm with nutrition you will find yourself becoming closer to your bodyand its inner workings and will feel and see your own beauty develop. When you sense your body is more energetic, your mind is calm, your feelings are balanced, your beauty can flourish and you will have gratitude for what the cosmos and nature have provided you. Thus you will sense how to give back to others and nature its self.
There are a handful of nutritional staples that over the years no matter what I introduce or am playing with and testing, these are tried and true. They not only help your skin to look radiant and clear they help support the Circadian Rhythm in innumerable ways. Eluethero, Collagen, Tocotrienols , and Camu Camu. There are 13 vitamins that are an absolute must for the body and 9 amino acids that we as humans cannot synthesize. These four staples pretty much cover all those but a few.
Eleuthero is amazing for the Circadian Rhythm it helps the adrenal glands to maintain their levels of vitamin C which is crucial in controlling cortisol output into the body, and it has your fat soluble vitamins such as A and D. Eleuthero also has your water soluble vitaminsB, B1, and C which are needed more often because the body utilizes these faster and are not stored in the fat tissue of the body. Eleuthero also supports noradrenalin and serotonin for quicker recovery from stress, improves oxygen uptake during physical activity, improves learning and memory, protects against environmental pollutants, regulates blood sugar levels just to name a few.
Collagen from Beef, sorry to those vegans out their but I take beef collagen. I have not done research on plant collagen but that is next on my list to have options for all lifestyle choices. Collagen contains all your needed amino acids for healthy tissue growth in the entire body including skin, teeth, hair, and nails. Boosts skins moisture levels and plumps the skin through support and maintenance of skins natural collagen and elastin production!! Since amino acids are the building blocks to all the proteins needed in the body and proteins are the being used to create neural chemicals with in the body this directly encourages healthy Circadian Rhythm.
Tocotrienols are an amazing source of vitamin E which is a much needed antioxidant in the body and are more powerful in tocopherol (other form of vitamin E). Tocotrienols have been found in studies to improve insulin sensitivity, protect vital brain circuitry, prevent bone loss, protects skin from photo damage, and free radical damage in skin. If the bodies inflammation is lowered its easier for the body to repair itself at night in turn calls for a more fulfilling night of sleep.
Camu Camu berry from South America is an amazing form of vitamin C and we all know that vitamin C is amazing for the skin topically and internally helping with collagen and elastin, clarity and skin’s vitality. Camu Camu berry is another super antioxidant for internal inflammation and lowered internal inflammation leads to better health and less auto immune issues. Above in the paragraph I mentioned Eleuthero and its affects on vitamin C in the adrenal glands. If your adrenals get low in vitamin c content they release more cortisol putting the body under more stress and inflammation. Since cortisol wakes you up in the morning your sleep patterns will be more erratic and your melatonin production will be off compromising yet again the amount of inflammation wrecking havoc on the entire body.
Circadian Rhythm and beauty can be enhanced with just a few simple nutritional changes. Its best to evaluate your day and night cycles and how you can integrate more beauty as wellness in your life to align you with the cosmos.
